Viewpoint Books

by

Whenever we travel, I’m always on the lookout for the coziest, most delightful independent bookstores. Here, I’m pleased to introduce you to one of our favorite indie bookstores in Columbus, Indiana. (Find more of our favorite cozy, independent bookstores here.)

The small city of Columbus, IN, may be best known for its large, impressive collection of modern architecture, but it also boasts a walk-able, tree-lined main street. And at one end, in the corner of a historic building: the delightful, Viewpoint Books, which has served the area for more than forty years.

It’s just one room, plus an impressive children’s section tucked in the back, but the shop boasts an impressive collection of books and gifts. And one of my favorite things in any indie bookstore: lots and lots of staff-recommendation notes.

Even if you find yourself in Columbus for a driving or walking tour of the architecture, don’t miss a visit to Viewpoint Books as well.
