The Tea Party

by

Raccoon had received so many compliments on her tomato sandwiches that she decided to throw a proper tea party.

For sandwiches, she would serve tomato, of course, along with cucumber and egg salad.

Mama Chipmunk offered to bring scones studded with nuts and decorated with flowers, and the bees even offered up a bit of fresh honey.

If everyone came — the cardinals and wrens, too, to provide some entertainment — Raccoon feared she might have to ask the cats to bring more tea from the jars in the cottage.
