Possum Goes for a Stroll

by

After a nighttime of rain; a warm, foggy morning; and a mostly gray, dripping day with a hint of watery sunshine peeking through now and then, evening settled in with a breeze and a bright, cloudy sky. (There was, after all, a full moon behind all the clouds.)

Old Possum stepped outside to sniff the air and discovered that, despite the faint scent of chimney smoke, it was actually rather warm.

And so he decided to leave his hat, scarf, and mittens on the hall table when he ventured out for his late-evening stroll.
