Whenever we travel, I’m always on the lookout for the coziest, most delightful independent bookstores. Here, I’m pleased to introduce you to one of our favorite indie bookstores in Greenville, South Carolina. (Find more of our favorite cozy, independent bookstores here.)

 

For a variety of reasons, we make the 5-ish-hour drive from Lexington to Greenville, SC, a few times a year. And whenever we’re there, one of my favorite downtown places to visit is M. Judson Booksellers.

 

How can you possibly go wrong with a bright, sunny bookstore in a historic building? Especially when it’s filled with novels, booksellers’ recommendations, local- and regional-interest books (both fiction and nonfiction), gifts, puzzles, cookbooks, a large and inviting children’s section, and … cupcakes!

 

 

 

When you’re in the Upstate, we highly recommend a visit to the ever-cheerful M. Judson.
