Ice Cream & Chocolate Sauce


The long summer days had been so hot, and everyone was feeling so drowsy, that Mama Chipmunk searched her cookbook collection for the perfect recipe, gathered all the peanuts from the bird feeder, and set out to make peanut-butter ice cream.


Even though they normally stayed inside the cottage, the cats even agreed to come to the the chipmunks’ ice cream social. Which was fortunate for everyone, because the cats after all were the only ones who could get the chocolate sauce out of the icebox.
