for the love of wind
Autumn is a fascinating, fickle season, isn’t it?
Its cold, rainy days are tailor-made for staying in, reading a book, maybe starting a fire, and planning for wintertime projects and hibernation.
And its golden, sunny days, of course, are made for going outside to admire the trees’ jewel-toned outfits.
And the windy days?
To my mind, those are the best of all: when sunshine and clouds race each other across the sky; leaves take flight; and the wind howls and sings, caresses and buffets us.
I know people who don’t care for wind, but from my perspective, a blustery day feels like life itself: deep breaths of fresh air, a clear head, and — whether in real life, in daydreams, or in books — adventure.
