The Intense Rainstorm, part 1

by

The rain and the wind were so intense that Mama Chipmunk would not let her grandchildren outside, for fear they might wash away. Instead, she herded them all into the kitchen after breakfast and gave each one a job, as they worked together to bake several batches of cookies: sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles, chocolate chip, and peanut butter.

After their baking spree, all the little chipmunks pitched in to wash the dishes, and then they were each allowed one (maybe two) of the cookies. But no more, or they would have too much sugar energy to stay inside.
